New projects can be a real pain to wrap your head around. Sometimes the things you think are so important are only important to you. The easiest way to fix this is when you are working with a nascent startup is to go out and talk to 10 to 20 potential customers.
There are a ton of ways to do this. The easiest is to make a list of customers and the jobs they want done. After this take a look at where some of these people like to hang out and go talk to them. Ask them about the problems and ways they’ve already fixed it.
Are they interested in using a new product?
Do they know anyone who would be?
